Appliance Repair Technician

Charm City Appliances is your Maryland source for quality used and reconditioned appliances.  Having been in business for over 20 years, we oversee appliance maintenance for residential properties in Baltimore City and County. 

As an Appliance Repair Technician, you are responsible for the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of appliances.

This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, have a knack for troubleshooting, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair appliances (Refrigerators, Stoves, Washing Machines, Dryers and PTAC units)

  • Accurately diagnose and repair appliances/equipment in the customer's home and/or in our warehouse

  • Complete invoices as required

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License 

  • 2 years of experience preferred

  • Good communication skills

  • The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, without assistance and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances

  • Flexible and variable hours (no weekends)

Service Manager

Charm City Appliances is Maryland’s source for quality used and reconditioned appliances.  Having been in business for over 20 years, we oversee appliance maintenance and installation for residential properties in Baltimore City and County. 

As a Service Manager, you will be the primary contact for all service, installation and repair work ensuring completion and resolution of all work orders assigned each day.

This position is right for you, and you can grow together with us, if you are focused, with strong attention to detail, dependable and have the ability to meet deadlines

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and dispatching technicians, to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs

  • Speaking with supervisors or customers to resolve problems, request for services or equipment

  • Keeping and organizing work requests, customer requests, completed work orders, charges for work performed, expenses for service performed, inventory records and other information

  • Follow up with customers once job is completed to ensure 100% customer satisfaction

Job Requirements:

  • Geographical knowledge of service area 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time

  • Basic computer skills 

  • Attention to detail

  • Daily communication with Company management

Purchasing Manager

Charm City Appliances is Maryland’s source for quality used and reconditioned appliances.  Having been in business for over 20 years, we oversee appliance maintenance and installation for residential properties in Baltimore City and County. 

As a Purchasing Manager, you will identify the best suppliers for appliances and construction material, establish and maintain vendor relationships and place orders as needed while maintaining inventory control.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Source vendors and suppliers for purchase of appliances and construction materials 

  • Negotiate contracts, warranties and costs with vendors and suppliers to achieve best pricing

  • Maintain internal Inventory of products to ensure availability 

  • Coordinate with management to determine product needs, communicate vendor/supplier changes or shortages of materials

  • Keep an updated master record of all vendors and suppliers and review on regular basis

  • Document and organize purchase requests, expenses for service performed, inventory records and other information

Job Requirements:

  • Attention to detail

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing field

  • Global purchasing experience a plus

  • Load appliance into truck for delivery

  • Safely drive to destination

  • Unload and install appliances

Job Requirements:
